Experience the RAF
Introduction
There are lots of different ways to get involved with the RAF. The Air Cadets and University Air Squadrons offer hands-on training, activities and sports while Welbeck and our work experience schemes give you a really good understanding of what the RAF is all about and a chance to get closer to the action.
Welbeck
This is a sixth-form military college for students who see themselves as future Engineering or Medical Officers. Focusing on helping students get good A-level results and a place at university, the two-year course combines academic studies, basic officer training and a wide range of sports.
Work experience
RAF bases all over the country offer work experience opportunities to young people across a wide range of air- and ground-based careers. You could also have the chance to work alongside RAF personnel and ‘shadow’ their working days.
