Parachuting

PARACHUTING

DECORATION.

Experience the ultimate adrenalin rush as you exit an aircraft and freefall at speeds of over 100 mph before your parachute opens.

If you’re aged 16 or over, you could jump with the RAF and test your nerves and your sense of adventure by taking part in this exciting extreme sport on your own or in tandem. No minimum skill level required.

Get involved

  • Many bases hold freefall and tandem parachuting courses with trained instructors for anyone aged over 16 not in the forces. Competitions, events and entertainment are all part of parachuting with the RAF
  • If you don’t want to go on a course, you can book single jumps with many bases
  • If you’re a member of the RAF, you can join the British Parachute Association to train or do single jumps

The main RAF base for parachuting is RAF Weston-on-the-Green, Oxfordshire, which has the biggest dropzone in the UK and the perfect atmosphere for teaching, learning and having fun.
